Add to the Mapa del Barrio and the Calendario del Barrio

The neighborhood map and the neighborhood calendar are built by the community, for the community. If you know about an event, a resource, a ballot drop box or a partner organization that belongs on the board, tell us here.

This form covers the Southeast LA cities of Maywood, Huntington Park, South Gate, Lynwood, Cudahy, Bell, Bell Gardens, Vernon, Walnut Park and Florence-Firestone, plus the City of Los Angeles, Santa Ana, Anaheim and Garden Grove. You can attach a flyer or photo so neighbors can see exactly what you are sharing.

How review works

Every submission is reviewed by our community team. Here is the weekly rhythm so you know what to expect.

  1. Submissions are due Tuesdays at 10pm. Anything sent in by that time enters the current week's review. Submissions that arrive later wait for the following week.
  2. We review on Wednesdays. A community team member checks each event and pin for accuracy, dates and clear details.
  3. Approved submissions are added to the site. Once approved, your event or pin goes live on the Mapa del Barrio and the Calendario del Barrio.
  4. They are shared at the Thursday community forum. Approved submissions are announced in person so neighbors hear about them directly.
  5. They go in the Friday bulletin. Approved submissions also appear in the bi-weekly Friday digital membership network bulletin.
Plain and simple

Send your submission by Tuesday 10pm. We review on Wednesday. If it is approved, it is added to the site, announced at the Thursday community forum, and included in the Friday digital membership network bulletin that goes out every two weeks.

Your submission

The name of the event, resource or location.
As exact as you can be.
Leave blank for a permanent map pin.
What is happening, who it is for, and anything neighbors should know.
An image of the flyer helps us and helps neighbors. JPG or PNG is fine.

After you send

Thank you for building the board with us. If you sent this before Tuesday 10pm, look for it after Wednesday review. We will email you if we have any questions.
